Travelling from oxford to Birmingham


Rail

Oxford Station runs regular direct services to Birmingham New Street which links directly with University (Birmingham) Station via a high-frequency service that takes only seven minutes. This train usually leaves Birmingham New Street from Platform 12, with a final destination of Bromsgrove or Redditch.

The centre of the main campus is a five-minute walk from University station.

Car

  • Join M40 from Woodstock Road and A34
  • Follow M40 to Alcester Rd/A435. Take exit 3 from M42
  • Continue on A435. Take Bells Ln and A441 to Edgbaston Park Road in Birmingham

Parking at the University of Birmingham is free of charge after 18.00pm.

The Great Hall is a 5 minute walk from the carpark, head towards the clocktower then up the steps through one of the double doors.
