9th International Colloquium on Bluff Body Aerodynamics and Applications
29 July - 2 August 2024, University of Birmingham, UK

Following in the spirit of the past eight meetings held in Kyoto (Japan), Melbourne (Australia), Virginia (USA), Bochum (Germany), Ottawa (Canada), Milano (Italy), Shanghai (China), Boston (USA), BBAA IX will be a broad forum on the latest advances in the study of separated flows around bluff bodies.

  • Abstract submissions are now closed.
  • Registration for BBAA IX Conference is now open.
  • Notice of acceptance for presentation - End of March 2024
  • Early Bird Registration extended, now ends - 8 May 2024
  • Submission of full paper closes - 1 June 2024
  • Registration deadline: 15 July 2024


Special Issue:

A selection of papers will be included in the Special Issue of the Journal of Wind Engineering and Industrial Aerodynamics.

We are also investigating publishing the full conference proceedings with Elsevier.

The 21st International Advanced School on Wind Engineering (IAS 21):

The 21st International Advanced School on Wind Engineering will be organised on 3 and 4 August, directly after the conference. More information can be found in the IAS21 announcement here. If you would like to attend the IAS21, please include this in your conference registration.
