Michael Blastland 


Michael is a writer and broadcaster. He was at the BBC for 17 years where he’s best known for creating the Radio 4 programme More or Less with Andrew Dilnot. He’s written or co-written several books, including The Tiger that Isn’t (with Andrew) about numbers in the news, The Norm Chronicles (with David Spiegelhalter) about risk, and The Hidden Half about uncertainty. He has lectured and presented widely, is a member of the board of the Winton Centre for Risk and Evidence Communication, and deputy chair of Royal Papworth Hospital. He has advised various health research projects, and most recently co-chaired an inquiry into the impartiality of the BBC’s coverage of fiscal policy.
