In the run up to the main event we hosted HACA e-labs – a series of exclusive online talks from health and care analytical experts from around the globe.

How can uncertainty improve your decision making? Director of the Society of Decision Professionals Brian Putt demonstrated how not including uncertainty when making a decision may result in an outcome very different than expected.
We learned how the decision quality process requires evaluating alternatives and not just the momentum case or most likely case.

In this session our HACA e-lab experts explored the art and science of predicting the future, not with a magical crystal ball, but with proven statistical methods based on objective data. Our panel introduced forecasting aims to bring you up to speed with minimal pain, prepare you to learn more, and have intelligent conversations about forecasting with colleagues.
This excellent session was presented by the authors of Demand Forecasting for Executives and Professionals; (available for free) Dr Bahman Rostami-Tabar, Dr Stephen Kolassa and Professor Enno Siemsen.
