If you are an early career researcher, please select if you are interested in attending the Workshop on Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th April. Once selected you would like to attend, there will be a prompt to input your career stage (e.g. when you started your doctoral programme for PhD students). You will be notified whether you are accepted in to the Workshop. 


Registration includes: 

  • Refreshments and Lunch on all days (including Monday 7th April if you are accepted in to the Workshop).
  • Conference Dinner on Wednesday 9th April.

Please note that the registration price does not include accommodation, you are advised to book your own. Please see our Accommodation page for a discounted option.


Registration will close on Monday 24th February 2025.


VISA Support Letter

If you would like to request for a visa invitation letter to support your visa application, you will first need to register for the conference, and full payment must have been received.

  • Last Name
  • First Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Nationality


Visa Corporate Credit Card Payments

We accept this type of card payment but please be aware that Flywire will add a 3% convenience fee to your transaction. This fee covers all costs of processing the card transaction and will be included in your final charge. If you accept this fee, you can continue with your payment. If not, please retry with a different card or reselect your payment country and choose one the available payment options to make your payment.


Cancellation Policy

Registrations cancelled before Friday 7th March 2025, will receive a full refund. Refunds cannot be processed after this date.

Registration names can be substituted at any point by emailing academic.conferences@contact.bham.ac.uk. Please copy in both parties to confirm consent for the substitution.

It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of the organisers to alter the content and timing of the programme or the occasional identity of the speakers. The BLCS 2025 committee and the University of Birmingham’s Event Management Team take no responsibility for non-refundable travel/accommodation in the case of a changed programme or cancelled event.


Warning for spam emails from Royal Visit and Traveller Point

We are aware of emails being sent to our speakers and attendees from Royal Visit and Traveller Point claiming to be involved in booking your accommodation for the conference. If you receive any such email please do not click any of the links and disregard this as spam.
