By selecting payment by invoice, you confirm that payment will be made no later than three weeks before the conference. If payment is not received by this date, your place may be cancelled or you may be required to pay by card, and a credit note will be issued to cancel the invoice.

Accommodation at 'The Vale'

Accommodation is available to book within the University of Birmingham student halls at £55 per night. These are En-suite bedrooms in a cluster of either four or six, with shared kitchen/lounge facilities. Breakfast is included.

The Vale

Our student accommodation is made up of different buildings known as the Vale Village, located 2 miles south of the city centre and a 20-minute walk from our Edgbaston campus.

    En-suite bedrooms in a cluster of either four or six rooms, with shared kitchen/lounge facilities. Rooms are equiped with bedding and towels, Free Wi-Fi, courtesy beverages in the kitchen area. Irons and bedside lamps are available from the reception. Breakfast is also included

Social Events

Social events are currently being finalised and are not yet available to book. We will email all registered participants with details once arrangements have been confirmed.

Terms and Conditions
Registrations and social events cancelled before Wednesday 5 August 2026 will receive a full refund. Vale accommodation cancelled before Wednesday 22 July 2026 will receive a full refund. No refunds can be processed after the deadlines stated above. However, registration or accommodation bookings may be transferred to another individual at any time by emailing academic.conferences@contact.bham.ac.uk. Please copy both parties in the email to confirm consent for the substitution. Please note that, for reasons beyond the organisers’ control, it may be necessary to alter the programme content, schedule, or occasionally the identity of speakers. The RC19 and the University of Birmingham Event Management Team cannot accept responsibility for any non-refundable travel or accommodation costs in the event of programme changes or cancellation.
