GISRUK 2026 – University of Birmingham 15th-17th April 2026

The 34th Annual GIS Research UK Conference will be held at the University of Birmingham from 14th – 17th April 2026. The main conference takes place on 15th-17th April, with an early career researcher event on the afternoon of 14th April. The timings are provisional, but we anticipate starting at 10.00 on Wednesday 15th April, ending at 13:00 on 17th April to facilitate travel to and from Birmingham. The conference dinner will take place at The Exchange venue in central Birmingham on the evening of 16th April. We are also organising another social event for 15th April, and tickets for this will be available in due course. There are bursaries available for registration costs for ECRs who are presenting at the GISRUK conference. To apply, please contact the GISRUK team before 27th February (and before paying for registration) and explain in no more than 150 words your career stage and your research interests. Early Career Event - Tuesday 14 April

By registering attendees agree to the code of conduct - https://gisruk.org/code-of-conduct/. Registrations cancelled before Monday 16 March 2026  will receive a full refund. No refunds can be processed after this date. Registration names can be substituted at any point by emailing academic.conferences@contact.bham.ac.uk please copy in both parties to confirm consent for the substitution. It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of the organisers to alter the content and timing of the programme or the occasional identity of the speakers. The GISRUK 2026 committee take no responsibility for non-refundable travel/accommodation in the case of a changed programme or cancelled event.
